clarity challenge

This month the theme for the clarity challenge is things with wings, after searching through my stamps I found my journaling stamp set and chose the birds to create my pocket gift tag.
This is my favorite clarity stamp I have used it in so many projects.

After cutting out a simple pocket shape and tag I began stamping the pocket stamp  on the front of the card, I also made a mask so I could work on the inside of the pocket with my inks making a simple scene.

Next I stamped the bird up in the right hand corner and continued the grass and sky around the pocket taking it across the back, and adding a few more journaling stamps around the edges.

When all the stamping was finished I fastened my pocket shape card together leaving the top open, so the tag can fit inside.

Due to the pocket been smaller than my sentiment stamp I used some shrink plastic to make a small embellishment on the front of the card.

Moving on to the tag I kept this pretty simple by using a sentiment and two birds in flight, again I added stamps around the edge.To finish off the tag I punched a hole at the base, and laid my ribbon across the back of the blue mount card, then added another piece of card over the back to cover up the working.

Stamps used:
Remountable Journaling Clear Stamp Set - As Seen On TV

  3. What a great idea Lynn. I really like how you've tied the idea of the scene within the pocket and how the birds have tied both pieces together. Thank you for entering the challenge. Good luck! x
