Spring flowers

This week I have used a new stamp which I bought from a Demo Day at Which Craft Doncaster, it was nice to see some spring colours at last and the sunshine!
To make my card I used :
Green/white spotty paper
cream card
Cream netting
Handmade frame using  Martha Stewart clay
Yellow ribbon
6x6 Card
Distress inks Shabby Shutters, and Mustard Seed

Used the sketch from Sketch Saturday, with the green and white spotty card as my background layer, then I covered the cream card with the net to make my next layer. Stamped my flowers onto watercoloured card and painted  using my distress inks.
To finish  I mounted the image and cut out the top flower so it stands off the card , then attached my frame embellishment to the bottom right corner.
Really like using the Martha Stewart Clay its so light when dry so it adds no weight to your cards, and it was easy to add colour with my distress inks too.
I wish to enter this card in the Sketch Saturday Challenge

Clarity challenge love and romance

When my club stamp came this month and I saw you had a challenge for love and romance I thought I should have a go . I'm quite new to Clarity and still building up my collection of stamps but I am getting more adventurous at giving new techniques a try.
To make my background I stamped randomly with the stamp in my hand using a distress ink fired brick I held the stamp in my hand to do this rather than on my stamping block as I wanted to see the stamp but not too bold, and fading out in places.Taking my Clarity  heart mask  I inked  through the mask in between the stamps I had just stamped.then continued to ink the edges of the card using the same ink.

The next step was to add texture and I used one of my masks with a leaf design hope you can see it it was hard to get a good picture of the embossing.

To  make my topper I stamped my image and embossed with clear embossing powder ,then colouring the background with a red promarker. The stamped image was cut out leaving a small white space as an outline before attaching I went  around the edges with ink.

To finish I mounted the heart on white card and mounted onto a die cut square.

Good luck to everyone entering there are some really nice designs.

Sketch # 296

For my card I have used
6x6 white blank card
red and spotty papers
cut out stamped image of bear
Red button

This week I cut out a rectangle shape from the centre of the spotty card before placing it on top of the red card. This made the main part of the sketch I went  around the red card with a white gel pen to form stitches liked this  look, I was going to use my sewing machine but it did not like sewing on card so I went back to using a pen.
After colouring my bear I cut around the outside leaving some white card showing to make the image pop out. Her arm looked a little lost up in the air so I added a sentiment flag for attaching it to her paw.

To finish I made the tag on the sketch with my red, and spotty card placing some hessian underneath then placing a small button on top .

Mounted each layer of the sketch on blue card , a sentiment of  'Birthday wishes' at the base of the card , and a small paper flower to embellish on the left.
Thanks for the sketch look forward to next week.
