flowers

Here is a card I made for my friends birthday using Clarity stamps and stencils, therefore I thought I would enter it into this months challenge.

I started by sanding back a piece of co -ordinations card, then to the stamping using the Edelweiss flower stamp linking the stems together to make the main focal point on the card, then colouring in the flowers with promarkers. On the Edelweiss flower I highlighted the petals with a white pen which really brought  them to life.

In the background I used the long grass stamp and stamping with old paper distress ink to give a faded background.

To complete the picture I used the butterfly tree stencil moving the stencil to the position I wanted, then taking a black fineliner pen to draw the outline of the butterflies, again I used my pens to colour the butterflies.

I made my sentiments small with shrink plastic so that they fit in between the flowers , and to finish I  added some stitching around the outline of the card.

The birthday celebrations went well and the card was a great success.

Thank you for stopping by and taking a look,

Lynn
