Clarity challenge 18- feminine

To make my card I used:

Remountable Journaling Clear Stamp Set

Elegant Ladies Stencil 7 x 7 Inch

This week while walking through town I came by a small art studio tucked away in a corner, I just had to have a look and so pleased I did . I was drawn towards some art books which had been  made from old books they looked fantastic but very time consuming a good ongoing project, therfore I took some inspiration from using book pages as a background on my card for this months challenge.

I cut a page of text paper  to a suitable topper size for my card, placed my stencil over, then used my distressed inks to add colour Walnut stain around the edges and fired brick in the centre.

After removing the stencil I went around the edge of the paper with my craft knife to give it torn appearance then inked the edges, adding some small circles made by using a lid off my spray bottle as a stamp.

Taking some cream card I made a frame using the journaling set of stamps and also made a band across the centre of the card making the appearance of hessian behind the image.

After mounting the work it was time to add some embellishments made out of paper from my craft stash, using a flower die to cut the layers. After some careful rolling and shaping the rose soon took shape. Behind the rose I added some scrunched seam binding and a heart embellishment to hang down from the flower.

Last week I spent a morning at my local craft shop  'Whichcraft' crafting along with a group of ladies making some flowers for our cards and now that's it i'm using up all those little scrap bits of paper to make roses.

So here is my card for this months challenge thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

Bye for now
Lynn
